ORMOND BEACH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNOUNCES CLASS 3
YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
ORMOND BEACH, FL
Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce 22 students will be participating in Class 3 of the Youth Leadership Program.

The Youth Leadership Program will begin on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. 22 High school students have been accepted to participate in this year’s program. Class 3 consists of High School Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, nineteen students from Seabreeze High School, two students from Father Lopez Catholic High School and one student that is dual enrolled.

The Program will consist of 6 afternoon sessions, concluding with a graduation dinner on December 4, 2024.  Each student will be earning community service hours they can apply toward their Bright Future Scholarship.
Participants in Youth Leadership Ormond Beach will gain knowledge of the community while building relationships with like-minded peers. Through interactions with local business leaders and government officials they will also gain valuable insights on internship programs as well as career opportunities in the Ormond Beach area.

“We are excited to expand our Leadership Program into our schools and play an important role in developing the future leaders of Ormond Beach by shaping our workforce” said Eva Connors McMullin, Board Chairwoman of the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce.

In turn, this will provide these students with a solid appreciation and understanding for their community. The intent of the program is to help graduates build strong connections that keep the Ormond Beach community in their hearts and minds, whatever path they ultimately choose after their high school graduation.

“The Youth Leadership Program was developed by the 2020 Leadership Ormond Beach, Class 17 as their class project and will mirror our Leadership Ormond Beach program with a few tweaks that will benefit our high school students as they plan their next chapter” said Debbie Cotton, President & CEO of the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce.
