Having a “GREAT” idea for a new company, start-up or product is the start — but now what? You will need a variety of resources, talent and capital to develop a website, develop a tech team, support the costs of an office space, with at least enough cash coming in each month to pay your rent. This means, you need money - funding. Whether an on-line business, innovative technology/product or a swanky café, most businesses and most entrepreneurs require at least a little bit of funding to really get off the ground in their early days. The good news is, there are quite a few places to get it (and many that are frequently overlooked). This workshop will bring some of the major funding contributors/resources to the table to learn from and talk to about funding options and opportunities. Joining us will be: • Annette Paulson – SBA (Small Business Administration) • Adriana Contreras – Accion - Global nonprofit organization supporting microfinance institutions in their work to provide financial services to low-income clients. • Margaret Conn/Cathy Lampert – TD Bank • Jim Greear – SCORE Mentor Specializing in Start-Up Funding Please join us to learn more about your funding options during this workshop that will include a Q&A panel discussion after the guest presentations.
