Daytona Beach, Florida – “Social Media & Digital Marketing – Secrets and Proven Methods that Work” is the topic of the next program of the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association on Thursday, Jan. 10. Register to attend at www.fpravf.org.
Barry KuKes, Community Outreach and Marketing Director/VP for the Halifax Humane Society, will share social media, website and content resources during the presentation.
In addition, examples of outstanding local social media campaigns and strategies will be provided, and attendees will be invited to share ideas and success stories in a roundtable format. The goal is to learn from one another!
KuKes, who is FPRA Volusia/Flagler’s VP of Finance, has been involved with social media planning and management since the days of Overture, Lycos, My Space, and other now-defunct media platforms. He’s had a long career in sales and marketing, including as Content Specialist and Marketing Director for Weisser Distributing in South Dakota, one of the top-50 Amazon sellers worldwide. Since joining the Halifax Humane Society 18 months ago, KuKes has more than doubled the social media reach and engagement numbers for HHS.
FPRA Volusia/Flagler’s luncheon meeting is open to public relations professionals, business people and the public and will be held at Daytona Beach International Airport, 700 Catalina Drive, Daytona Beach. Check-in and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., and the program starts at noon.
Please RSVP at least two days in advance at www.fpravf.org. The cost, which includes lunch, is $25 for FPRA members, $30 for non-members and $20 for college students. Payment should be made online in advance.
To support the Neighborhood Center of West Volusia, the chapter’s featured charity this year, attendees are asked to bring soup and/or crackers to be donated this month.
FPRA is the oldest public relations organization in the United States. Today, it connects more than 1,000 public relations professionals and college students in Florida for professional development, networking, leadership growth and the opportunity to earn accreditation and certification. In Volusia/Flagler, the chapter offers monthly programs, social activities, media day, mini conferences and more.
