Balgobin\, Superintendent of Volusia County Schools\, whose visionary leadership has elevated one of Florida's largest school districts to new levels of excellence. Appointed superintendent in 2022\, Dr. Balgobin brings more than 27 years of experience in public education and a deep commitment to student success\, academic achievement\, and community partnership.\n\nUnder her leadership\, Volusia County Schools earned its first "A" rating from the Florida Department of Education in more than a decade\, achieved its highest graduation rate ever\, and significantly expanded career and technical education opportunities\, STEM initiatives\, and dual language programs. Her work has also strengthened school safety through innovative partnerships and forward-thinking solutions.\n\nRecognized nationally and locally for her leadership\, including being named National Superintendent of the Year and Public Sector Woman of the Year\, Dr. Balgobin's story is one of perseverance\, purpose\, and impact.
