ARTBATTLE BRINGS LIVE PAINTING COMPETITION TO ORMOND BEACH SEPTEMBER 19
High-energy international art competition comes to Ormond Brewing Company while raising funds for The Creative Chapter Inc.
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – September 12, 2026 – Paint, competition, community, and creativity will collide in Ormond Beach on Saturday, September 19, when ArtBattle Ormond Beach-Daytona takes over Ormond Brewing Company for an evening of live art unlike anything else in the area.
Presented locally by The Creative Chapter Inc. in partnership with Art Battle International, ArtBattle places artists in front of a live audience and gives them just 20 minutes to transform a blank canvas into a finished work of art. Guests circle the easels as the artists work, experiencing each painting come to life before casting their votes to determine which artists advance and, ultimately, who will be named the evening's ArtBattle Champion.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with painting beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Ormond Brewing Company, 301 Division Ave., Ormond Beach.
"This is so much more than watching artists paint," said Angel Lowden, Vice-President of The Creative Chapter Inc. "The audience becomes part of the competition. You get to stand just feet away from the artists while they create, watch completely different styles emerge from a blank canvas, vote for your favorites, and then have the opportunity to take home artwork created right in front of you. At the same time, the evening is helping us continue building creative opportunities right here in our community."
Artwork created during the competition will be auctioned during the event, with participating artists receiving a portion of the proceeds and proceeds benefiting The Creative Chapter Inc., a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating accessible opportunities for people to connect through art, literature, writing, and other creative experiences.
The Creative Chapter currently supports and develops programs including Teen Book Club, Teen Writing Club, Teen Photography Club, Pre-Teen Art Club, community art programs, writing groups, book clubs, creative gatherings, and other opportunities designed to give children, teens, and adults a place to create, learn, and build community.
The September 19 competition is the first in a series of locally produced ArtBattle events and is designed to strengthen the area's growing creative community while giving professional and emerging artists a unique platform to share their work.
The evening's champion will receive a $500 cash prize, plus a two-night, three-day stay at Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach, which is sponsoring the ArtBattle season.
Ormond Brewing Company serves as the Presenting Partner for the September event, providing the setting for an evening that will also feature food and beverages, vendors, music, and opportunities to support local artists and The Creative Chapter.
Guests attending ArtBattle are also encouraged to bring new art supplies to donate to Volusia County Schools, extending the evening's celebration of creativity beyond the event itself.
General admission tickets are currently $30 in advance and $35 on the day of the event. The event is open to all ages.
Artist applications also remain open for available competition spots.
